L'Escale Gustave Roussy — Furnished short-term rental, Villejuif
1. Purpose
These terms and conditions govern the short-term furnished rental of the apartment "L'Escale Gustave Roussy", located at 23 Chemin Militaire, 94800 Villejuif, France, offered by Franck Sauvage ("the owner") to any individual wishing to make a booking ("the guest").
2. Booking
A booking is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or an agreed deposit, and a written exchange (email or WhatsApp) confirming the dates, number of guests, and terms. No booking is final without written confirmation from the owner.
3. Rates
Rates are in euros inclusive of all taxes and shown on the Rates page. They are subject to change. The applicable rate is that in force at the time of booking confirmation.
- Short stay (1–6 nights): €120/night
- Weekly (7–27 nights): €100/night
- Monthly (28+ nights): €85/night
- Cleaning fee: €60 (included from 8 nights)
- Tourist tax: per Villejuif municipality schedule
4. Payment
Payment is made by bank transfer, credit card (via secure payment link), or any other method agreed in writing. Full payment is due before check-in unless otherwise agreed.
5. Security deposit
A security deposit of €300 is required as a bank pre-authorisation. It is never debited in the absence of damage. The pre-authorisation is released automatically within 48 hours of checkout following inspection. In the event of proven damage, the owner reserves the right to debit all or part of the deposit up to the amount of the damage.
6. Cancellation by the guest
- Flexible (1–6 nights): full refund if cancelled at least 48 hours before check-in.
- Stays of 7 nights or more: 50% refund if cancelled at least 5 days before check-in. No refund thereafter.
- Medical emergency: each situation is reviewed with compassion upon presentation of supporting documentation.
7. Cancellation by the owner
In the event of cancellation by the owner (exceptional event, damage, force majeure), the guest will be fully refunded as promptly as possible.
8. Occupancy and house rules
The apartment is rented for exclusively residential and personal use. Maximum occupancy is 4 persons. Pets are subject to prior approval. Smoking is prohibited inside the apartment. Noise is not permitted between 10pm and 8am. A check-out inspection will be conducted.
9. Bail mobilité — French mobility lease (1 to 10 months)
For stays of 1 to 10 months, a bail mobilité (French mobility lease under the ELAN Act) may be offered to persons in vocational training, higher education, apprenticeship, internship, temporary professional assignment, or professional relocation. This lease cannot be renewed. No security deposit is legally required under this contract type. Specific terms are agreed in writing.
10. Guest liability
The guest is responsible for any damage caused to the apartment, equipment, or common areas during their stay. They agree to leave the premises in the condition in which they found them. Temporary home insurance or personal liability cover is strongly recommended.
11. Applicable law — Mediation
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the guest may contact the competent consumer mediator before taking legal action. French courts have sole jurisdiction.
